Centella Asiatica

This plant has been used in traditional medicine for more than 2000 years to improve the healing process - an ability that is directly linked to its two main components: saponosides (madecassoside, asiaticoside) and triterpenes (asiatic acid, madecassic acid). These molecules are involved in the production of collagen and fibroblasts - cells that play an important role in tissue regeneration.

Argan oil

Rich in vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, this oil helps restore the hydrolipidic film and increases the supply of nutrients to cells to slow down the effects of aging.

Jojoba oil

Also known as "gold of the Incas". The jojoba bush produces numerous oily seeds each year, from which a liquid wax - known as jojoba oil - is obtained. Its composition is very similar to that of sebum. Protects against dehydration, reduces moisture loss, nourishes and sinks into the skin without leaving an oily residue. Known for its soothing and repairing action, it also protects, softens and improves elasticity.

We've redesigned our formulas to make the shades even shinier, and we've stopped using beeswax at the request of our vegan customers. 100% of the total ingredients are naturally derived for the Malaga and Brun de Mars shades. As for the Cerise shade, "only" 98% of all ingredients are naturally derived. Why? Because we decided to use synthetic pigments instead of carmine to get this bright red color! This also means that this shade cannot be certified organic, but of course it meets all of our formula requirements!

Le Sorbet: easy on the eyes, easy on the planet

Lipstick packaging will inevitably become waste, but when it's made from recycled plastic and designed to last three months to a year (or more!), it's very different from single-use plastic. Both the cap and base of this lipstick packaging are made from 100% recycled PET, also called PCR PET (post-consumer recycled PET material).

PCR is a recycled, recyclable material (meets the Global Recycled Standard) that offers a more sustainable packaging solution. The production of PCR generates 25% less greenhouse gases than the production of conventional plastic material. PCR makes up approximately one third of our lipstick packaging. The rest is made of metal - which is recyclable. Only part of the mechanism cannot be recycled - yet!

We also work with a supplier who is committed to reducing water consumption. In 2016, it introduced a system for recycling its waste water and continues to improve this system year after year (over 250,000 liters of water were recycled in 2019). As of May 2020, our supplier also uses PV panels, which should reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 35,000 kg per year.
