YELLOW BEAUTY is a skincare collection based on a radical idea – that your beauty goals are yours to define. What’s our job, then? To help you get there. Our products are kind to your skin and the planet. Each one is formulated around a powerful, natural ingredient that has been used for centuries: a little yellow root called turmeric.

Partners-in-life Jaz and Jamil started Yellow Beauty based on Jamil's experience attending the Holud ceremony in his home country of Bangladesh. His family introduced him to the rich history of turmeric-based skincare. Knowing how Jaz struggled with redness and breakouts, they decided to put what he learned into practice and start making their own natural products.

Inspired by the Holud ceremony, the couple started formulating their first product in their small kitchen with Jamil’s mom’s recipe in hand. This bright yellow mask helped calm Jaz’s breakouts – and soon, others were blown away by their results too.

WHY TURMERIC?

Turmeric quickly became an important part of Ayurveda, the world’s oldest holistic healing system, some 3000 years ago. But its usage can be traced to earlier – as far back as 6000 years. You probably know turmeric (curcuma longa) as a spice. But it’s much more than that.  In fact, the Sanskrit language has about 55 synonyms for this little root covering all its different uses. A staple in South and South-East Asia and revered by many as sacred, listing all of turmeric’s benefits would take much more space than we have here. So, let’s focus on your skin.
